or "How to create your own OS X Leopard "non-news" news.
With the seemingly quiet release of OS X Leopard, it is always refreshing to de-bunk the doomsayers and glory-seekers. For those of you interested in creating "non-news" as a hobby or even a profession, the aim of this article is to give you the fundamentals in a few easy steps:

First, create a blog and maintain it with no less than 50 users over a period of three years, or just one very active member (that will do!).The reference here is used as an example only. There are many "non-news" stories beside this one.- [Ed.]
Second, create and document a "non-news" story of your choice. Make sure to include lots of pictures and comments to add validity for those doing a cursory review.

Third, get Slashdot to post it without even a second glance and PRESTO...you have "non-news" going around the world for all to see. It doesn't matter that the issue has been around since Panther (yes, it is a technical flaw)...suddenly its "Leopard-worthy" news. ;-)
Without a doubt, Apple OS X Leopard has flaws, actually it probably has more than we imagine. I guess that compared to other launches (Vista and Ubuntu come to mind), this one has been quiet. There are scads of valid technical issues for Apple to resolve and patch. Still not a bad buy in my book (or MacBook Pro 15" in my case).
We at WoT love Slashdot, but call it the way we see it. Tell us what you think...
